Your 2012 COEO Conference Planning Team has been hard at work and plans are now set for this year’s special 40th Anniversary conference. Our theme, “Honouring Roots…Standing Tall…Branching Out!” reflects our commitment to create a unique conference framework within which many of COEO’s original “elders” and long-time “sustainers” will be personally invited to return to share in the celebration of: a) how our organization was born and nurtured, b) its current “best practices”, and c) what it is already in the process of becoming!

Please plan to join us as we explore new ideas and perspectives, learn and share, refocus and rejuvenate for the special “40th anniversary year” ahead!
Our host site will be Camp Pine Crest, located near Torrance in beautiful Muskoka, Ontario.

4edu.ca – Website with links to Canadian resources for teachers

Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011

Canadian flag

According to their website,

“CoEd Communications Inc. is a not-for-profit educational communications company, specializing in the production and promotion of free, quality, curriculum-based educational resource material for the Canadian school system. CoEd works in conjunction with Departments/Ministries of Education, school districts/boards, associations, teachers and subject specialists across the country.”

Click on “Featured Resources” (or follow the link below) to see a selection of government and corporate websites & resources aimed at augmenting Canadian curriculum. Areas range from Hbc’s “Exploring Our History” Program, to the Canadian Forestry Association, Stats Canada, Veteran’s Affairs, the Canadian Teacher’s Federation, VISA Canada (ues, the credit card), and the Canadian Centre for Energy Information, to name just a few. Looks like a good place to start for downloadable and printable teaching materials!
